All About CTET



TET was started by the Government of India in order to improve standards in teaching. It was held for the first time in 2011
CTET abbreviation for Central Teacher Eligibility Test. It is conducted by CBSE - Central Board of Secondary Education. It is important for all aspiring teachers who wish to join as teacher in Central Government Schools like KVS/ NVS/ Tibetan School etc.
an Indian entrance examination for teachers. This test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. 

It is divided into two papers - Paper 1 and Paper 2. 

Paper 1 is for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8. 

It is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India. Most states conduct their own TET. The test is conducted in order to achieve the goals of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act. The nation’s growth depend on the student's education level and moral values. States who do not wish to conduct State TET (State Teacher Eligibility Test) may consider the CTET score for recruitment of teachers.

This CTET Entrance Exam is organised on twice a year generally in the month of February and September. A candidate has to score minimum 60 per cent to clear the eligibility test of CTET exam.

Question Paper Pattern for CBSE UGC NET:





Papers: 
The test will consist of three papers.

Exam Mode
UGC Net takes place in Offline mode.


OMR Sheet: 
Candidates have to mark their answers on the Optical Mark Reader Sheet also called OMR Sheet.

Type of Questions: 
All the papers will have objective-type questions i.e. MCQs.


Number of Paper: 
Total 185 questions will be asked in NET which is divided into 3 papers.

Number of Questions: 
Paper-I will have 50 questions,
Paper-II will have 50 questions and 
Paper-III will have 75 questions.

Medium of Paper: 
Choice selecting medium for the paper can be exercised at the time of filling the form. Candidate can choose the paper medium as either Hindi or English.

Subjects: 
The Paper-I consists of General Aptitude Questions testing Reasoning Ability, Comprehension Reading, Mental Ability, and General Awareness. 
Paper-II and III contain questions related to the concerned subject.

Exam Duration: 
Paper-I and Paper-II will be of 1 hour 15 mins, 
Paper-III will be of 2 and half hours.

Marking Scheme: 
Each correct answer will carry 2 marks and good news is that there is no negative marking.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announces conducting of the National Eligibility Test (NET) for determining the eligibility of Indians for the post of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship and also for Assistant Professor both in Indian Universities and Colleges. CBSE conducts NET in 84 subjects at 91 selected NET Examination Cities spread across the country.

NET - 
National Eligibility Test or NET, is a national-level exam conducted with a purpose of scrutinizing the candidates’ knowledge required for holding the position of Lecturers/Professors/ Associates/ Research Fellows at Indian universities & colleges.
So one can appear the CBSE UGC NET to fulfill your aim for becoming a Junior Research Fellowship, Lecturer or Assistant/Associate Professorship.
Eligibility for CBSE UGC NET Exam
1. There is a upper age limit of 28 years for Junior Research Fellowship. 
2. There is a 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit for the OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD category candidates.
3. Candidates having L.L.M. degree will be eligible for 3 years relaxation in age. 
4. Relaxation is given to the candidates having research experience.
5. There’s no prescribed upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.

Educational Qualification :
1. The candidates applying for CBSE UGC NET should have qualified the Master’s degree or equivalent in particular subjects scoring 55% from any state or central recognized university and 50% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
2. The final year candidates are also eligible to apply for the examination. These candidates must have qualified their Master’s degree within 2 years from the date of NET results.
3. Candidates will get 5% relaxation in aggregate marks whose PhD. was completed by 19th September 1992.
4. The candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their Master’s only.

Advantages of Government Exams

Aspirants for government jobs are mainly in lower middle class and middle class.
