CBSE UGC NET Examination | All You Need To Know | From Scratch to End

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announces conducting of the National Eligibility Test (NET) for determining the eligibility of Indians for the post of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship and also for Assistant Professor both in Indian Universities and Colleges. CBSE conducts NET in 84 subjects at 91 selected NET Examination Cities spread across the country.

NET - 
National Eligibility Test or NET, is a national-level exam conducted with a purpose of scrutinizing the candidates’ knowledge required for holding the position of Lecturers/Professors/ Associates/ Research Fellows at Indian universities & colleges.
So one can appear the CBSE UGC NET to fulfill your aim for becoming a Junior Research Fellowship, Lecturer or Assistant/Associate Professorship.
Eligibility for CBSE UGC NET Exam
1. There is a upper age limit of 28 years for Junior Research Fellowship. 
2. There is a 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit for the OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD category candidates.
3. Candidates having L.L.M. degree will be eligible for 3 years relaxation in age. 
4. Relaxation is given to the candidates having research experience.
5. There’s no prescribed upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.

Educational Qualification :
1. The candidates applying for CBSE UGC NET should have qualified the Master’s degree or equivalent in particular subjects scoring 55% from any state or central recognized university and 50% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
2. The final year candidates are also eligible to apply for the examination. These candidates must have qualified their Master’s degree within 2 years from the date of NET results.
3. Candidates will get 5% relaxation in aggregate marks whose PhD. was completed by 19th September 1992.
4. The candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their Master’s only.
